A Producer plans and coordinates elements needed to create a film, television show, theater production, musical production or radio show. Works with writers, composers and artistic directors to develop ideas and scripts; oversees rehearsals or production schedule and budget; recruits financing to support production and marketing costs; negotiates distribution agreements. May also work on television or radio advertisements.
WKBN-TV is looking for an energetic, creative Full-Time News Producer with strong news judgment, solid writing skills, and a passion to win. We're seeking a journalist who goes beyond stacking a rundown—someone who finds original content and tells meaningful stories in compelling ways across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. This role produces daily newscasts and contributes to WKBN+, our growing digital streaming platform, helping shape how we tell stories across multiple screens. We're looking for a motivated, organized producer who thrives under deadline pressure, thinks beyond the obvious, and is driven to land the big story. You should be passionate about local news and committed to telling the stories that matter most to our community. Youngstown offers great food, great people, and access to Ohio's largest metro park. Pittsburgh and Cleveland are each about an hour away.
