Job Summary:
As a Producer you will play a vital role in the production and presentation of our newscasts and other content. From shaping the lineup to writing news stories and coordinating with production teams, you'll exercise good news judgment and uphold ethical standards while delivering engaging content to our audiences.
Job Responsibilities:
Attend editorial meetings, research stories, and collaborate with reporters to assign and develop compelling news stories. Design graphics and coordinate pre-production elements with the production department. Write news stories, teases, promos and other content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to journalistic standards. Proofread reporter packages for content and grammar, ensuring compliance with legal and journalistic standards as well as the time allotted. Monitor video news feeds, coordinate live shots, and perform real-time timing of newscasts. Provide live technical direction and communicate with directors and anchors to ensure smooth on-air transitions. Responsible for the organization, coordination, and distribution of final scripts, ensuring alignment with program format and editorial objectives. Promote and execute the strategic plan for the company, contributing to audience engagement and growth initiatives. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Schedule:
This is a full-time position primarily working 40 hours per week. You may also be called upon at times to fill in other hours and days of the week to help cover vacations, illnesses, breaking news, severe weather, or special projects/events. This position is not eligible to work remotely.

Skills and Requirements:
Formal education equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field. Related experience will be evaluated by Company management and may be substituted on the basis of two years of experience equals one year of education. 1-2 years experience preferred. 1 year of progressively responsible experience in a television newsroom preferred. Ability to make quick and appropriate decisions. Proven experience as a Producer in a broadcast media environment, with a strong portfolio of successful projects. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and compliance requirements Strong writing, communication, and decision-making skills. Proficiency with personal computers and ability to learn new systems. Link of work and writing samples required. Ability to perform other job-related duties as assigned.
