Overview:
Seeking a Production/Manufacturing Manager role where I can leverage 5+ years of production leadership experience to drive operational excellence, develop high-performing teams, and deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and hourly employees. Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for results. Support employee development through training, cross-training, and succession planning. Foster positive employee engagement and maintain effective communication throughout the workforce. Direct daily manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements are achieved. Monitor production performance and implement actions to improve safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Analyze production metrics and identify opportunities to improve throughput and reduce waste. Manage production priorities and respond effectively to changing business needs. Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to improve product quality and manufacturing performance. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality, production, and safety issues. Support implementation of standard work, visual management, and process controls. Collaborate with Maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Participate in capital improvement projects and equipment installations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and manufacturing leadership experience may be considered. Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience. Demonstrated experience managing supervisors and hourly employees within a unionized manufacturing environment. Experience in fiberglass, composites, plastics, chemical processing, or related industries preferred. Proven track record of improving safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance. Strong leadership and people management skills. Ability to motivate teams and drive accountability. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze operational data and make data-driven decisions. Strong organizational and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems.
