Ongoing freelance projects About the Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Character Animator & Video Producer to create ongoing promotional and educational video content featuring our company mascot. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in character animation, motion graphics, and video editing , with the ability to take general concepts and turn them into polished, professional videos from initial idea through final production. This is an ongoing freelance opportunity. We are looking for someone who can become familiar with our mascot and brand and maintain a consistent character appearance, personality, and overall visual style across our video content. Anticipated Projects Our anticipated content needs include approximately: 2-3 short-form videos per week , typically around 30 seconds 1 longer video per week , typically around 1-3 minutes Project volume may vary based on current marketing and content needs. Videos may include promotional, educational, and story-driven content for platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Responsibilities Create and animate our recurring company mascot across multiple videos and scenes Maintain consistent mascot appearance, proportions, colors, personality, and overall design Create natural character movements, expressions, gestures, and interactions Develop custom animation, graphics, motion graphics, backgrounds, and other visual elements Integrate the mascot into animated environments as well as real-world/live-action video footage Produce promotional, educational, and story-driven videos Handle video editing, pacing, transitions, sound effects, music, and overall production quality Maintain consistent branding and visual quality across all video content Format and adapt videos for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms Help turn general concepts into engaging scenes, storylines, and visual ideas Take projects from concept through final production and delivery Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: 2D or 3D character animation Mascot or character animation Motion graphics Character rigging and movement Compositing and visual effects Video editing and post-production AI-assisted animation or video production Integrating animated characters into live-action footage Commercial, promotional, or educational video production Developing polished videos from concept through final delivery Compensation $23.00-$28.00 per hour , based on experience and portfolio.
