Job Description

We are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and skilled designer to lead key design initiatives, collaborate with different departments, and ensure seamless publication workflows. This role serves as a crucial bridge between internal teams and external partners, maintaining high standards for print and digital outputs while driving project success from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Design Execution Lead Creative Projects:
Drive end-to-end management of projects including special sections, magazines, marketing materials, and branding initiatives.
Product Onboarding:
Assist the setup for new products by creating required folder structures, design assets, snippets, and prototype templates.
Workflow & Asset Management:
Maintain and organize shared team resources, including server folders, InDesign templates, and snippet libraries.
Collaboration & Partner Management External Partner Liaison:
Collaborate directly with external partners to manage assigned publications, set partner teams up for success, enforce deadlines, and act as the primary liaison between partners and the newsroom.
Team Mentorship:
Train, mentor, and guide both new and existing team members to elevate overall team capabilities.
Qualifications & Expectations Required Experience & Industry Knowledge Publication Background:
Must have prior experience designing and producing special sections and magazines.
Industry Operations:
Strong understanding of how newsrooms operate and a solid foundational knowledge of newspaper industry operations and workflows.

Technical Skills & Software Design & Publishing:
Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat),
BLOX TotalCMS, NewsWay File & Remote Management:
Cyberduck, Splashtop, Google Workspace Preferred:
Prior hands-on experience working in BLOX TotalCMS (or similar content management systems)
