Job Description/Summary The Production Manager within American Print Consultants (APC) is responsible for the oversight and coordinating of all internal production processes within the company including, but not limited to; creating of quality standards, planning, estimating and processing of all inbound production requests, processing of orders (which can involve the actual production itself), provide production efficiencies and deliveries within a timely manner. This position is a working manager position that typically involves sitting stationary as well as standing for the purpose of actual production. The typical work day will be working within a production-like environment. This position may include various moments of lifting, bending, sitting, standing, kneeling and walking. Skills, assets & experience required: 3+ years of prior management in wide format, digital printing production processes Well rounded with proven knowledge of all things wide format digital printing and can effectively manage and execute initiatives within given time frames Actual prior production experience with either Mimaki, Mutoh, Vanguard UV/Solvent and Dye Sublimation printers preferred, but will train if needed Ability to work with clients in a professional manner at all times to meet their production needs Three (3) + years of production experience with leadership responsibilities preferred Production oriented Strategic/critical thinking a must Ability to adapt to industry and company changes Effective at setting and meeting customer project deadlines Ability to focus with a productivity mindset Strong written, verbal communication & interaction skills required Highly organized and detail oriented Source and purchase required materials for production orders
Production Manager Tasks & Responsibilities:
Develop an overall production plan including production pricing, outreach for sales and new production business, setting quality standards and managing the processes Collaborate and develop "go-to" market strategies with digital assets to help promote and enhance the production capabilities of APC Manage production team members (if applicable) Develop written content for production initiatives Perform actual production tasks and activities to help meet the customer requirements Responsible for producing and maintaining all printed sales samples for the purpose of salesman presentations in addition to trade show events Collaborate and work with the clients to manage their expectations Coordinate and perform client demonstrations with the outside sales team Responsible for the cleanliness of and maintenance of all demonstration equipment within the demo room Management position: Yes Remote position: No Main reporting area (Home base): Chambersburg, PA Area of travel: DNA Company car eligible: No Company credit card eligible: No Company cell phone eligible: No Decision making tasks: Yes Could there be other tasks, duties and responsibilities not noted within? :
