A Producer plans and coordinates elements needed to create a film, television show, theater production, musical production or radio show. Works with writers, composers and artistic directors to develop ideas and scripts; oversees rehearsals or production schedule and budget; recruits financing to support production and marketing costs; negotiates distribution agreements. May also work on television or radio advertisements.
Job Summary The Operations & Project Manager will serve as the central hub of our shop, bridging the gap between our clients and the production floor. You will handle customer inquiries, build cost quotes, order blank apparel, manage day-to-day production deadlines, and lead our print staff. This is an active role requiring a balance of excellent customer service, sharp logistical planning, and a strong understanding of garment decoration methods.
Core Responsibilities Customer Support & Quoting:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients. Calculate and deliver accurate price quotes for silk screen, embroidery, and DTF orders using our pricing matrix.
Project Management & Job Setup:
Formally open new work orders, verify that client artwork aligns with the selected decoration method, and set hard production deadlines.
Purchasing & Inventory:
Order blank apparel (S&S, SanMar, AlphaBroder, etc.) and project supplies precisely to match incoming job requirements while minimizing shipping costs.
Staff Coordination:
Supervise floor staff, assign daily print queues, and troubleshoot bottlenecks to ensure jobs are completed on time.
Client Updates:
Proactively communicate with customers regarding proof approvals, inventory backorders, production timelines, and order pickups.
Qualifications & Skills Industry Experience:
2+ years of experience working in a custom apparel, screen printing, or embroidery shop environment.
Quoting & Pricing:
Demonstrated ability to accurately quote screen printing (mesh counts, flashing, location counts), embroidery (stitch counts), and DTF transfers.
Organization & Logistics:
Exceptional project management skills with a proven track record of handling multiple fast-moving orders simultaneously without missing details.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional, friendly interactions with corporate and retail customers.
Software Literacy:
Familiarity with apparel shop management software (docket manager and order my gear) or basic ERP/Excel systems is highly preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment that transitions between an office desk and a production floor. Ability to lift boxes of blank apparel or printing supplies weighing up to 35 lbs.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
