Production Manager Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday-Friday | Second Shift /

Evening Production Compensation:

$24.00-$26.00 per hour Job Summary We are seeking a hands-on Production Manager to oversee approximately 18-23 employees across two departments in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for meeting daily production goals while maintaining established processes, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Production Manager will be responsible for keeping production moving efficiently between departments and ensuring completed work is ready for the next stage of production. This is an active, floor-based management position. The Production Manager is expected to regularly walk both departments, understand current production status, identify problems before they become larger issues, and hold employees accountable to established expectations. Daily responsibilities include production Runlist, scheduled floor walkthroughs, employee follow-ups, monitoring hourly and daily production goals, responding to emails, and completing required management checks and documentation. The Production Manager will be expected to learn the equipment and processes within their departments. This includes developing enough knowledge to understand proper equipment operation, train and coach operators, recognize operational problems, and assist in determining the appropriate response when issues occur. Because this is a high-volume manufacturing operation, equipment downtime can significantly impact production. The Production Manager must be able to react quickly, communicate issues, coordinate with the appropriate teams, and adjust the production plan when necessary. Occasional weekend production may be required to recover production time lost due to major equipment downtime or other operational needs. Key Responsibilities Lead approximately 18-23 employees across two production departments Monitor hourly and daily production goals and ensure expectations are being met Identify the cause of missed production goals and take corrective action Maintain established production processes and quality standards Enforce company safety policies and required PPE Conduct scheduled production floor walkthroughs and follow-ups Complete required Runlist, reports, emails, and management tasks on time Monitor employee attendance, performance, productivity, and accountability Train, coach, and develop employees Learn department equipment and production processes Respond quickly to equipment downtime and production interruptions Coordinate with Maintenance and other departments when issues occur Ensure completed production meets the requirements of downstream departments Communicate production issues, staffing concerns, downtime, and other important information to management Maintain an organized, clean, and safe production environment Assist with staffing, training, and employee development as needed Requirements Previous management or supervisory experience required Manufacturing, warehouse, or production leadership experience preferred Experience directly supervising a team in a fast-paced environment Strong leadership and employee accountability skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to communicate professionally through email Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability and willingness to learn manufacturing equipment and production processes Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to track and understand production goals and performance Comfortable coaching employees and addressing performance issues Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work a full-time second/evening shift Monday through Friday Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays when production needs require it Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate takes ownership of their departments and does not wait for problems to be brought to them. They should regularly be on the production floor, know whether their departments are on target, understand where problems are occurring, and take action to correct them. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable holding employees accountable, willing to learn the operation, and capable of balancing production, quality, safety, equipment, and people. Specific shift hours and additional schedule details will be discussed during the interview process.

Pay:

$24.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
