Type:
full-time Weldon Design, LLC, is looking for a creative, energetic and enthusiastic studio assistant to join our team! We are a small, fast-paced custom invitation and calligraphy studio located midtown Manhattan. The studio assistant will be an integral part of our small team, working in tandem with the studio manager and the team as a whole. The environment is fast paced with a constant stream of projects, and lots of beautiful paper and printing. You should have exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills that allow you to interact at the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and protocol, a desire to grow with a niche business, and a passion for adding value with your skills and talents.

RESPONSIBILITIES
(Office)
- Manage messenger deliveries and pickups
- Count and catalog incoming materials
- Tidy up and maintain office environment
- Answer office phone calls and direct to relevant team members
- Sourcing and picking up materials in Manhattan
RESPONSIBILITIES
(Projects)
- Work with clients on short-term calligraphy & in-studio printing projects
- Prepare lists and materials for quick-turn projects
- Create type layouts in Adobe InDesign according to project guidelines
- Prepare estimates and quotes
- Revise and send invoices for completed projects
- Assist in calligraphy proofreading and quality control
- Work with project managers to complete larger, long-term projects
- Assist in scanning artwork and printing
- Pack and ship completed projects
- Assist in project fulfillment, ex.
stuff stamp and seal envelopes, pack gifting kits, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Understanding of Adobe suite - especially InDesign
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Docs and Sheets
- Professional office experience and customer service experience
- A knack for paper crafts and interest in learning
- Experience in Quickbooks preferred but not required This role is in office 5 days a week, hours are 9 - 5pm
