Job Summary | Major goals and objectives. The Senior Reporter will work closely with the Executive Editorial Director and brand leadership to help identify and cover news stories that can benefit from original reporting, and tap into their rolodex of sources to help enrich other developing news stories in progress to ensure that PEOPLE is publishing deeply reported celebrity content and consistently breaking news in the celebrity world. The senior reporter will work in many content areas contributing ideas, reporting help and writing, with an eye towards traffic driving content. Important to have entertainment industry contacts as they may be charged with booking talent for specific projects. II. Essential Job Functions Approximate Weight % | Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results 30%

• Reporting and writing stories that will drive traffic, including celebrity interviews 30%
• Collaborating with the executive editor, various vertical editors and news director to determine where to invest time and resources on developing news stories and sourcing opportunities 20%

Education:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in journalism or communications, related field or equivalent training and/or experience.

Experience:

Minimum 12 years experience

Excellent digital writing skills, a deep knowledge of the celebrity news landscape, an eye for a good story, ability to work well with many people across job functions, knowledge of analytics, SEO and audience engagement.
