Award-winning national business publication is seeking to immediately hire a local candidate from the North Denver Area for a Business News Reporter/Senior Staff Writer position. This is a full-time, in-office salaried position.

candidates from the greater Denver area will be considered. NO telecommuting is available for this position. The ideal candidate must be instinctively inquisitive with exceptional interviewing and research skills and must have an outgoing personality and a professional business demeanor.

Other mandatory qualifications include:

Experience working in a newsroom or news organization as a business or hard news writer in a physically printed publication (not online or digital). A minimum of 3 years' experience producing timely stories on short deadline for a printed business magazine or newspaper. A college degree in journalism with an emphasis in print media.

Highly desired:

Experience creating long-form, feature business articles with a proven track record of creating interesting prose on deadline. Experience calling news sources and working a beat to conduct on the spot interviews to create breaking news stories. An exhaustive knowledge of Associated Press Style, spelling and grammar. Insightful Q&A features with national experts on specific topics. On-location, in the moment, comprehensive event feature stories.
