Job Summary/Description:

WLFI is looking for a person who will anchor our weeknight 10 & 11 pm newscasts, Monday through Friday. This person will also MMJ daily. Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Anchor our nightside 10 & 11 pm and report five days a week.
• Fill in as an anchor on other shifts as needed
• Develop, gather, shoot, write, and edit compelling news stories
• Report live from the field, as assigned
• Write, edit, and post compelling content for the website
• Contribute story ideas regularly; organizational skills and working under pressure are a must
• Develop and maintain contacts and news sources
• Must attend and represent the station at community events regularly
• Other job-related duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Experience preferred, but not required
• College degree in journalism or related field
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Strong News judgment
• Strong Writing Skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure of strict deadlines
