Maine ( WCSH/WLBZ ) is looking for a Morning News Anchor who communicates news and information effortlessly and authentically. This position is full-time and is based in our Portland newsroom. We are looking for a team-first journalist and news hound with a heart. Someone who enjoys anchoring newscasts, sharing the latest news for our statewide audience on broadcast and stream. We expect a journalist who fully embraces our broadcast, streaming, and mobile platforms. In this job you will copy edit scripts, anchor our top-rated newscasts from 4:30-9 a.m. Monday through Friday (plus fill-in anchor occasionally weekend mornings) and produce daily mobile shorts.Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or similar field
- 7-10 years of experience Reporting and Anchoring
- Fluid and authentic anchoring of regular and breaking news
- Clean, conversational broadcast writing
- Smart, ethical decision making
- Active on X, FB, Instagram, and Snapchat is helpful
- Knowledge of CUEZ, Edius, and Axis graphics a plus Pay Range $90,000 - $100,000
