Job Description

The City of Iron Mountain, Michigan will accept applications for a full-time utility account clerk at the office of the City Clerk/Treasurer, 501 S. Stephenson Ave., Iron Mountain, MI 49801. This position requires that an individual be capable of working in an office setting and utilizing standard office equipment. The position has an hourly starting rate of $23.51, increasing to $24.51 after 6 months and will increase beyond the previously stated amounts with yearly increases negotiated through collective bargaining. Benefits include health insurance consisting of medical/Rx, dental, and vision; a pension plan that includes a defined benefit and defined contribution (457b) plan with an employer match; and vacation, sick and personal leave, and holiday pay. Applicant must be a high school graduate, must reside within a 20 mile radius of Iron Mountain City limits within six months from date of hire per Collective Bargaining Agreement and undergo a pre-employment physical examination.
