Overview We are looking for an energetic, community minded news reporter to join our team and tell the stories that matter to our readers. Duties Covering local government, schools, community events and meetings Conducting interviews and developing story ideas Writing accurate, engaging news stories Taking photos and gathering information for stories Building relationships with community members and local organizations Meeting deadlines, This position will require working evenings and weekends Knowledge of AP style guidelines Experience with InDesign helpful but not required. Previous journalism experience is preferred, but strong writers with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
