As a journalist you would be equipped with tools and technologies so you can research issues and curate right contents. Our journalism will be purely focused on local issues rather than national issues.

About Us:

Open Governance Initiative (opgov.ai) is a initiative where we connect community members with what is happening in their local government for this we take information about the local meetings and publish it locally. The project is lead by Lead For Earth an IRS certified 501c3 non profit with the intent of creating local leadership within the community. Duties Collect information and update it on opgov.ai portal about the meeting and find the members of the community who speak in the meetings. Connect with the representative and share content on regular basis. Write articles and publish it on the portal as well as share it within the community. Conduct thorough research before writing any article especially at times connecting to the community member who is speaking out. Write clear, concise, and compelling articles that adhere to journalistic standards. Engage in fact-checking to maintain the integrity of the information presented. Utilize photography and videography skills to enhance storytelling through visual media. Maintain a strong understanding of current events and trends within the industry. Requirements Strong editing skills with attention to detail for proofreading and copy editing. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
