Sports Grammar Experience Full Job Description Job Summary Statement:

Write creative, informative copy in a concise manner for sports cards, sticker albums, sales and marketing materials, and other projects as assigned. Strong knowledge of collegiate sports (basketball and football) and professional sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, UFC) is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Write copy for card backs through the gathering of information and statistical data. Write creative content for sales and marketing materials. Write copy for sticker albums and other projects as assigned. Track NCAA football and basketball and professional sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, UFC) on a daily basis. Aid in database maintenance and updating statistics. Help maintain and update player information.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Professional experience as a copy editor/writer. Passion for sports with vast knowledge of professional sports teams and athletes. Must have excellent communications skills and strong ability to work in a team environment. Outstanding writing and grammar skills essential to daily work. Talent to convey complex subject matter clearly and engagingly. Ability to meet deadlines and maintain project schedules. Highly self-motivated and well organized. Ability to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events. Attention to detail and good multitasking skills. Proficient in Associated Press style.

Education &/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in related area preferred or equivalent work experience. Familiarity with trading card industry preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, MS Office and other PC-based applications.
