What You'll Build Large-scale experiential installations Film and television set elements Trade show exhibits and activations Complex 3D fabricated components Resin 3D-printed parts Multi-axis CNC-routed components Dimensional and sculptural elements Custom prototypes and one-off builds Fabricated structures incorporating digitally produced components Projects requiring a combination of creativity, engineering, and practical fabrication knowledge Position Summary We're looking for a highly experienced Senior Digital Fabrication Technician to become an important part of our growing digital fabrication department. This is a hands-on position for someone who is extremely comfortable taking complex 3D models and figuring out how to actually build them . You should be highly proficient in Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino) and experienced in preparing, modifying, splitting, and engineering models for real-world fabrication. You'll work with resin 3D printing, CNC routing, and advanced 5-axis and 8-axis routing while collaborating with our fabrication, scenic, graphics, and production teams. Responsibilities Work extensively in Rhinoceros 3D / Rhino Prepare and modify complex 3D models for fabrication Split and section large models into manufacturable components Determine practical assembly and fabrication strategies Prepare models and workflows for CNC machining Develop and manage CAM/toolpath strategies Operate and troubleshoot multi-axis CNC equipment Work with 5-axis and 8-axis routing systems Operate and manage resin 3D printing workflows Prepare, process, and finish resin-printed components Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards Develop solutions for complex fabrication challenges Work closely with carpenters, fabricators, designers, and production teams Help turn digital designs into practical, buildable physical structures Improve digital fabrication processes as the department continues to grow Qualifications Advanced/expert proficiency in Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino) is essential Strong experience preparing and splitting 3D models for fabrication Professional CNC routing and digital fabrication experience Strong understanding of CAM and toolpath development Experience with multi-axis CNC machining Experience with 5-axis routing strongly preferred 8-axis routing experience is highly desirable Resin 3D-printing experience Strong mechanical and fabrication aptitude Ability to understand how digitally fabricated parts will actually be assembled in the shop Strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing production environment Excellent attention to detail Career Growth This isn't just an operator position. Compensation & Benefits $35-$50 per hour, based on experience and technical capabilities.Benefits include:

Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.
