In person About Us Christmas in Color, by Wonder Entertainment, is a large-scale drive-thru Christmas light show featuring millions of synchronized lights, tunnels, displays, and other holiday attractions. We're looking for a Build Team Lead to help lead a small crew during the setup of our Christmas show. This is a hands-on leadership position . We are not looking for someone who stands on the sidelines and tells a crew what to do. You will be building, lifting, assembling, and using tools alongside your team while helping keep everyone organized, productive, and moving in the right direction. Training, build plans, and guidance will be provided. What You'll Do Think of the build as assembling a very large outdoor IKEA set . We provide the plans, materials, and instructions-you help your team put it together correctly.
You will:
Lead and work alongside a small build crew Follow site maps and build instructions Organize and stage materials for your team's work area Assemble large light displays, frames, tunnels, trees, and other structures Install and secure lights to structures Use stakes, guy wires, ballast, and hardware to safely secure displays Use hand and power tools throughout the build Assign tasks and keep your team working efficiently Check completed work for quality, stability, and appearance Troubleshoot basic build issues and make decisions when adjustments are needed Keep work areas organized and move with your team from one section of the show to the next Coordinate with other Build Leads and the technical team as needed What We're Looking For You should be: Very comfortable and proficient with hand and power tools Comfortable leading and working with a small team A strong problem solver who can make decisions in the field Comfortable following diagrams, maps, and assembly instructions Willing to lead by example and work alongside your crew Able to stay organized and keep a team productive Comfortable working outdoors and being on your feet for long periods Able to repeatedly lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and materials Comfortable with physically demanding work Experience in construction, installation, events, landscaping, warehouse work, fabrication, lighting, or similar hands-on work is helpful, but specific Christmas light show experience is not required.
