Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Flooring Expert to join our team! In this role, you will be the go-to professional for all flooring-related projects, providing expert guidance on product selection, layout design, and installation processes. Your enthusiasm for renovation and construction, combined with exceptional customer service skills, will help clients transform their spaces into stunning, functional environments. Duties Engage in outside and inside sales activities to promote flooring products and services, including high-end and remodeling projects. Conduct client consultations to assess needs, present product demos, and recommend optimal flooring options tailored to their style and budget. Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, upselling premium products, and ensuring client satisfaction from initial contact through project completion. Manage project details such as stock availability, pricing via POS systems, and order processing while maintaining accurate records in CRM systems. Collaborate with contractors and construction teams on renovation and remodeling projects to ensure seamless installation and maintenance of flooring solutions. Lead marketing efforts by merchandising products effectively in-store or online, conducting product demos, and promoting special offers to maximize sales opportunities. Qualifications Proven experience in retail or construction sales with a focus on flooring or renovation products. Strong knowledge of layout design software such as SketchUp, CAD, or lighting design tools. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals and upselling higher-value products. Familiarity with construction processes, remodeling projects, maintenance practices, and fixture sales. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, POS systems, and basic math for accurate quoting and inventory management. Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—to build lasting client relationships. Organizational skills that enable efficient stock management, merchandising, and project coordination.
