Full-Time Connectivity & New Work Manager Description:

The Connectivity & New Work Manager is a key artistic role responsible for maintaining and expanding Company One's relationships with local and national community partners and artists, producing in-person and digital activities that support C1's social justice mission, and supporting C1's new play development processes. This role oversees the administrative activities that keep the department running smoothly and collaborates across departments to ensure C1's action initiatives and production related programming deliver meaningful impact and reflect the organization's mission, values, and artistic vision. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in producing and/or event management, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a demonstrated commitment to furthering social justice and community building in Boston. A background in Theatre is not required, but familiarity with the arts and/or nonprofit administration is especially helpful. A majority of this role's time falls within standard M-F office hours, but this position does require schedule flexibility to attend events and meetings outside of regular business hours.

Core Responsibilities:

Serve as lead producer for 4-6 events in conjunction with each C1 production, including lobby activations, panel conversations, and community workshops Collaborate with Marketing and production dramaturgs on execution of public-facing dramaturgical content, including lobby and program materials, blog content, and digital messaging Serve as creative producer for stand-alone Connectivity and New Work events, overseeing any permit processes, guest artists, payments, outreach and staffing logistics Coordinate administrative processes for season planning, including programming committee and script scouting Serve as C1 representative at various external community partner events or tabling opportunities Lead outreach to community partners and host committee for C1 productions and events Maintain accurate records and budgets in collaboration with the

Managing Director and New Work & Connectivity Director Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Strong background in event planning and/or producing, ideally in public-facing settings Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfort and experience in public facing roles Proficiency in maintaining budgets and schedules Collaborative leadership style Preferred Qualifications Experience in arts or education nonprofits Experience supervising creative professionals Interest or experience with community organizing practices and strategies Interest or experience with dramaturgy, literary management, or new work development processes Experience with gallery design/installation, creative fabrication, or visual art practices An active MA drivers license Additional language skills that would support C1's multilingual community
