Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.

Stipend - Props Designer (Fall Musical) (SY26-27) Chelsea Public Schools - 3.4 Chelsea, MA Job Details Part-time 9 hours ago Qualifications Purchasing Ordering supplies Entry level Full Job Description Title - Stipend - Props Designer (Fall Musical) (SY26-27) Fulfill the artistic vision for props for the Fall play ( Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring), according to the director of the production. The props designer is expected to come to all production meetings and keep consistent communication with the director. The props designer will gather and obtain all prop pieces and be present for necessary prop support during tech rehearsals and shows. Purchasing of materials needed for the props are the responsibility of the costume designer and all related purchases will be reimbursed, based on the budget determined by the director. Any additional purchases will need to be approved by the director. Props should be fully prepared by Oct 28, 2026. The prop designer will support the organizing of prop materials on our day of strike November 15, 2026.
