A Set or Exhibit Designer designs display booths or exhibits for museums, galleries or trade shows. Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.

Job Description

Description We are seeking a 3D Custom Designer to develop compelling concepts and production-ready designs for custom environments. In this role, you will translate client goals, budgets, and timelines into thoughtful 2D graphics and 3D exhibit concepts that are functional, detail-oriented, and visually engaging. You will collaborate closely with clients, sales, project management, and fabrication to support projects such as trade show displays, permanent exhibits, and corporate environments.. Key Responsibilities Create 2D graphic designs for permanent displays, trade show exhibits, and signage Develop 3D exhibit design concepts and renderings from initial concept through final design Prepare detailed specifications and design documentation to support fabrication of exhibit components Produce client-facing presentation materials and participate in design presentations as needed Communicate design concepts clearly and professionally to clients and internal stakeholders Maintain an organized Mac-based design workflow, including file organization, archiving, and software updates Skills Adobe Creative Suite, Graphic Design, 3D renderings, CAD, Vectorworks, Artlantis, Sketchup, client interaction Top Skills Details Adobe Creative Suite,Graphic Design,3D renderings,
CAD Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred:
1. Associates or Bachelors in Graphic Design 2. Client facing experience Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Windsor Mill, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr. 1.
PTO:
typically prorates the first year, 1 week vacation time, 5 days sick time. Maxes out at 4 weeks, 5 six days.
