A Set or Exhibit Designer designs display booths or exhibits for museums, galleries or trade shows. Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.

Monday and Friday remote, Tues - Thurs office or on-site (30% field work) System One is currently seeking a Field Designer on a 6 month contract position located in Rice Lake, WI.
Field Designer Responsibilities:
Design and manage electric distribution projects for new and existing customers. Responsibilities include customer interaction, project management, field assessments, and system design using GE Smallworld (customized GIS). Tasks include transformer sizing, underground cable routing and pole placement. Check SAP for new customer contacts. Field visits or computer-based design work. Weekly scheduled meetings (Mon/Tues) and team touchpoints (Thurs). Highly varied day-to-day tasks. Field work includes visits to residential, commercial and construction sites.
Field Designer Requirements:
Strong communication (verbal and written). Organizational and project management skills. Basic electrical knowledge or background. Familiarity with Microsoft Office. Ability to effectively translate basic data to customers. GIS/AutoCAD experience is a plus but not required. Experience in electrical or utility fields is a plus.
