What they do
A Set or Exhibit Designer designs display booths or exhibits for museums, galleries or trade shows. Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.

Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, manage, and maintain federated BIM models and related project data throughout design and construction phases.
Lead coordination sessions and perform clash detection using industry-standard tools (e.g., Navisworks, Solibri) to identify, document, and track constructability issues.
Implement and enforce BIM standards, templates, and best practices across projects, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to translate design intent into accurate models and resolve coordination issues.
Support VDC workflows including 4D scheduling and 5D cost integration, producing model-based construction sequences and simulations.
Produce model deliverables, including drawings, quantity takeoffs, and asset data for handover, facility management, and procurement.
Provide technical guidance and training to project teams on BIM tools, model management, and data exchange protocols.
Maintain model QA/QC processes, manage version control, and coordinate model-sharing platforms (e.g., BIM 360, Trimble Connect).Assist in developing project-specific BIM execution plans (BEPs), LOD definitions, and coordination schedules.
QualificationsBachelors degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.3+ years of experience working in BIM/VDC roles on building or infrastructure construction projects.
Proficiency with BIM authoring and coordination tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Solibri, Dynamo, BIM 360, or Trimble Connect.
Strong understanding of VDC principles, model-based construction workflows (4D/5D), and construction sequencing.
Experience with clash detection, model federations, LOD management, and producing model-based deliverables for construction and FM.Familiarity with common data environments, file exchange standards (IFC), and BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) is a plus.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple project models and deadlines.
