A Set or Exhibit Designer designs display booths or exhibits for museums, galleries or trade shows. Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.

Job Description

Full Rate - Looking for a Production Designer to build a 3-wall set. This is for a series of sit-down documentary interviews. Will need the designer for prep + build, as well as strike and wrap. Ideally the production designer can bring on an assistant for prep + build. We would like to use 'foam' walls' or 'lightweight walls' if possible versus building wood or heavier walls. There is no interaction with the actual set walls. Simply for background purposes. A 'look book' and concept art is available for reference. Once set is established, no needed for additional set changes

Job Description:

We will need the production designer to source the materials for the 3-wall set. Please keep in mind there are No Wide shots. This is a sit-down interview with cross coverage. Emphasis will be on the backgrounds behind the subject. Ideally the designer can bring on someone to assist with the build and the set decor. Background should contain lamps, decor, fake plants, rugs, chairs, small shelves
