A Set or Exhibit Designer designs display booths or exhibits for museums, galleries or trade shows. Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.

Role Summary The Design Support Specialist plays a critical role in shaping and maintaining the visual identity, design standards, and elevated customer experience. This position bridges the gap between creative vision and real-world execution by helping connect event concepts, inventory selections, layouts, styling, planning details, and final presentation. This role supports the creative and visual direction across event design, inventory presentation, styled shoots, brand standards, and client-facing experiences while ensuring concepts remain cohesive, intentional, executable, and aligned with the company's brand identity. While this role collaborates closely with sales, marketing, production, and operations, its primary focus is supporting the visual integrity, consistency, and elevated design standards that define the company's brand experience Creative Direction & Event Design Develop event concepts, layouts, renderings, styling ideas, and overall visual direction Support planning details that impact flow, inventory selections, client experience, and final presentation Help ensure designs feel intentional, elevated, realistic to execute, and aligned with the company's brand standards Provide creative guidance throughout the design and planning process Inventory Styling & Design Alignment Utilize in-depth knowledge of inventory to recommend selections, substitutions, and cohesive pairings Support inventory decisions with a strong understanding of design flow, functionality, and visual consistency Provide design input on purchasing decisions to strengthen the company's inventory collection and market positioning Help ensure inventory selections support both client demand and overall brand cohesion Brand Presentation & Visual Standards Support the visual direction of the company across client-facing and public-facing materials Support the Director of Marketing on styled shoots, lookbooks, layouts, photography direction, and visual presentation Help maintain consistency in brand presentation, image quality, fonts, styling, and overall aesthetic standards Contribute to initiatives that strengthen the company's brand perception and visual identity Production Awareness & Execution Alignment Support consistency between original concepts, inventory selections, onsite setup, and final event presentation Identify details that impact layout, styling, presentation, and customer experience Help maintain elevated visual standards throughout final event setup and presentation Technology Proficiency Canva Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) 3D Modeling & Rendering Software (SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, etc.) CAD Platforms (AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect, or similar) Microsoft Office Suite & Google Workspace Experience Proficiency in creative software and digital design platforms, including Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or equivalent) for creating branded marketing materials, presentations, and visual assets. Experience with 3D Modeling, Rendering, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect, or similar platforms to develop event layouts, interior concepts, and client visualizations. Strong understanding of visual composition, typography, color theory, branding, and presentation design. Ability to translate concepts into polished, client-facing visual presentations and renderings.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
