Others need character, atmosphere, and a little creative instinct. At Cobalt Lane, we believe a great Studio Sound Engineer knows how to deliver both. We're looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, a sharp ear, and enough curiosity to ask, "Can this sound even better?" You'll be part of a studio environment where craftsmanship matters and every project brings something new to the table. Your Role In The Studio Set up, operate, and maintain professional studio audio equipment Record, edit, mix, and refine audio for studio productions Manage microphones, mixing consoles, DAWs, monitors, and recording systems Monitor levels, tone, clarity, and overall audio quality throughout sessions Work closely with producers, artists, and creative teams to achieve the desired sound Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and keep sessions running smoothly Prepare and review final audio to ensure it meets production standards Maintain an organized, reliable, and production-ready studio environment What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Studio Sound Engineer, Sound Engineer, Audio Engineer, or in a comparable role Strong understanding of recording, mixing, editing, and studio workflows Hands-on experience with professional audio equipment and DAWs A well-trained ear and strong attention to detail Confidence troubleshooting equipment and technical issues Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to balance creative direction with technical accuracy A genuine interest in the craft of sound Why Cobalt Lane?
