This opportunity is designed for self-employed audio professionals who want reliable access to a high-quality studio environment while maintaining complete control over their own clients, creative work, availability, and business operations. Engineers are free to schedule sessions in the studio based on availability, bring in their own artists and clients, and operate independently. In exchange for use of the space and agreed studio resources, the engineer and studio will share revenue from sessions based on a predetermined percentage of the hourly studio rate. What You'll Do Bring and manage your own recording, mixing, production, podcast, voiceover, or other audio clients. Book studio time through the studio's scheduling process, subject to availability. Run sessions independently and provide your own engineering, production, and client-management services. Maintain a professional, organized, and respectful environment for clients and other studio users. Communicate clearly regarding session schedules, equipment needs, cancellations, guest policies, and studio requirements. Collect payment from clients or process payments through the studio's designated system, depending on the agreed booking arrangement. Ensure clients follow studio rules related to conduct, capacity, food and beverages, smoking, equipment use, security, and noise. Leave the room, equipment, and common areas clean, orderly, and ready for the next session. Promptly report any equipment issues, damage, safety concerns, or scheduling conflicts. Ideal Qualifications Proven experience as a freelance audio engineer, recording engineer, producer, mixer, or studio professional. An existing client base—or demonstrated ability to consistently bring in artists, creators, brands, podcasters, or other paying audio clients. Strong technical knowledge of recording workflows, DAWs, signal flow, microphones, mixing, editing, session preparation, and file management. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Reliable scheduling habits and the ability to manage sessions independently. Respect for studio equipment, facilities, security procedures, and fellow creatives. Ability to create a positive client experience and represent yourself professionally while working in a shared studio environment. Portfolio, credits, website, social presence, or examples of prior work preferred. Studio Access and Revenue Split Engineers may book available studio time for sessions with their own clients. Studio access is scheduled in advance and is subject to availability, studio policies, and any applicable minimum booking requirements. Revenue from each booked session will be split between the engineer and Music Label Co at an agreed percentage. There are no guaranteed bookings, minimum earnings, salary, hourly employment wages, benefits, or exclusivity requirements.
