GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION
Working under the direction of the Worship Pastor, the Contract Audio Engineer serves to cultivate and produce broadcast quality audio at Crossway Church in a way that fulfills the mission of the church to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ who go and make disciples.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• Associate degree or equivalent in the field of (one or more) electronics, communications, audio production, media, or music. Minimum 5 years of experience in live mix, sound reinforcement, AV broadcast and/ or music production. Possess a musical background, having experience in multi-track audio recording or professional audio systems. The ability to operate a large sized sound reinforcement system with sensitivity to both musical and ministry excellence. The ability to function at a high level of eMectiveness and remain calm and respectful in stressful situations. Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills with relational leadership and team- building skills required. Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Avid Pro Tools, Ableton, Waves Audio, and Multitracks Playback with full breadth of knowledge in current pro audio equipment and equipment brands. Ability to learn and use Planning Center Online and Multitracks/STEMS for live and recorded performances. Ability to recruit, train, and coordinate a team from an audio perspective.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
• Oversee all audio elements for rehearsals, services (in-person and online) events and media projects. Participate and contribute to accomplish Crossway Church's Audio projects and goals including FORWARD audio infrastructure implementation and training. Manage and oversee operation of all audio equipment in distributed systems at an assigned locations including Crossway Kids area, Crossway Students area, conference rooms/oMices, and other locations as needed. Serve as primary troubleshooting and management contact for Audio including updating hardware, software, and equipment firmware, regularly maintaining, and cleaning all equipment. Ensure that equipment and operational procedures are being developed collectively and followed when operating equipment, mixing, maintenance, and training. Suggest improvements and best practices when appropriate using proper channels. Organize, schedule, and attend regular training sessions for current and potential volunteers. Available to work evenings and weekends and in a high profile and high-stress environment as required. Willing to periodically carry a heavy workload at heavy ministry times. All other duties as assigned.

Develop spiritually through personal Bible reading, prayer, and Christian community. Participate in the overall life of the church and in a life group. Be a team player and maintain the unity of the body. Practice the personal stewardship of your finances consistent with Scripture, including tithing (which means a tenth) of at least your income from Crossway back to the church. Enthusiastically support and live out the mission, vision, and strategy of the church. Abide by the Ministry Team Covenant.
