Active Secret What You Will Do:
Develop, edit, and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, including user guides, process documentation, and supporting materials. Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, program teams, and stakeholders to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into audience-appropriate content. Research, organize, and verify technical information to ensure documentation is complete, current, and compliant with organizational standards. Create and update content for internal and external audiences using established templates, style guides, and documentation processes. Review documentation for accuracy, consistency, grammar, formatting, and usability before publication. Manage multiple documentation assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
What You Will Need:
An ACTIVE and
MAINTAINED
"SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance. Bachelor's Degree; FOUR (4) years of additional professional experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Minimum ONE (1) year of experience writing, editing, and maintaining technical documentation or related content. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Experience supporting defense, security, public safety, or government-related documentation efforts. Familiarity with technical writing standards, content management systems, and document control processes. Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of accessibility, plain language, or user-centered documentation practices. Experience with graphics, diagrams, or other visual content to support technical materials. Proficiency with common documentation tools and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and proofreading skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
