Job Description
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalentRequired Skills for the Tech Author
- 3-5 years of experience
- Experience using Arbortext softwareTech Author Responsibilities
- Creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation such as user manuals, technical specifications, service methods, repair times, interactive schematics, and help guides for products developed by the company
- Works closely with service engineering, engineering, manufacturing, compliance, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical documentation
- Responsible for organizing, managing, and maintaining a repository of technical documents, ensuring all technical documentation adheres to established style guidelines and is written in clear and concise language for both technical and non-technical users
- Additionally, may be required to create technical illustrations to support written content and perform editorial duties, such as copy editing, proofreading, and fact-checking, to ensure the accuracy and clarity of all documentation
