Technical Assistance (TA) Lead Manhattan Strategy Group United States, Maryland, Bethesda 4747 Bethesda Avenue (Show on map) Apr 15, 2026 Description The Manhattan Strategy Group LLC (MSG), a management consulting firm based in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Lead to support the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Opioid Treatment Program and Support Services (OTP TA) project. The purpose of the OTP TA project is to guide OTPs, OTP staff, and state opioid treatment authorities (SOTAs), and related organizations in developing and sustaining high quality treatment and recovery services through a robust TA program. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Title 42 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 8, evidence-based SUD and OUD treatment modalities and delivering technical assistance. The candidate will also bring extensive experience in designing and facilitating trainings and developing technical reports.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Serve as a project and task leader, working with subject matter experts, project staff, and the client to deliver high quality trainings and technical assistance. Conduct needs assessments, environmental scans, and literature reviews to inform TTA plans. Oversee the development of training curriculums+ and TTA resource guides. Provide administrative support across the team including coordinating and contributing to standard program reports, creating agendas and writing notes for client and internal meetings, and coordinating schedules and deadlines. Work effectively with subject matter experts to translate their expertise and navigate their availability into the development of high-quality products and services for OTP staff. Independently and proactively identify problems, and areas for continuous improvement, and to successfully resolve issues or put new processes in place to make those improvements. Attend and/or facilitate project workshops, webinars, federal and non-federal meetings and conferences as a SME and representative of the project. Ensure a high quality of work through strong attention to detail. Be comfortable in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment with a proven ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience in behavioral health, SUD, OUD treatment, mental health, or public health. Prior work experience in an OTP is preferred. Must have substantive knowledge of 42 CFR Part 8 and evidence-based SUD and OUD treatment modalities. Must be proficient in designing and delivering high-quality, high-impact training and technical assistance to stakeholders. Demonstrated experience adhering to deadlines and producing error-free work. Ability to work efficiently in a remote setting and adapt to working with peers across multiple time zones. Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, problem-solve independently, and respond quickly to changing priorities while meeting deadlines. Demonstrated customer service or relationship building skills and abilities with a strong commitment to client satisfaction. Ability to work at a standard computer setup for 40+ hours per week with or without accommodations and highly proficient in MS Office suite and willing to learn new technologies. Ability to travel (up to 20%) to facilitate and/or support trainings and meetings. Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Federal government and program contracting regulations preferred.
