Overview:
Client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to support proposal development activities across federal Health IT opportunities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience drafting compliant, compelling technical and management narratives and coordinating with SMEs, capture, and recruiting teams.Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and edit proposal sections (technical, management, past performance, resumes, etc.) for federal RFPs/RFIs.
- Collaborate with capture managers, recruiters, and SMEs to collect inputs and tailor responses.
- Ensure compliance with solicitation requirements, templates, and style guides.
- Participate in color team reviews and incorporate feedback.
- Maintain boilerplate libraries and reusable content repositories.
- Support graphics, formatting, and layout for final submission packages.
- Track opportunities and assist with proposal schedules and deliverables
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in federal proposal writing or technical writing.
- Strong understanding of RFP structures and compliance requirements (especially in GovCon or Health IT).
- Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; familiarity with proposal tools (e.g., GovWin, Awarded AI, or similar) a plus.
- APMP Foundation certification preferred but not required.
