Job Description

Barnes Aerospace Warren has an exciting internship opportunity for a student Intern to support the Continuous Improvement department in a manufacturing environment. The right candidate should be self-driven, and currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. If you are a high-energy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this position may be of special interest to you. This position reports to the CI Manager.
Core Responsibilities:
Working directly with CI Manager on various assignments Generating standardized manufacturing routing instructions. Creating manufacturing work instruction redlines. Resolving product non-conformance, coordinating with the disposition and translating resolution into manufacturing order rework instructions. Supporting implementation of process improvement initiatives aimed at improving cost, schedule and quality. Tooling design modifications for improved production efficiency Generating Inspection work instructions Generating inspection reports for customer review Reviewing OEM technical data revision status Uploading documents into business online technical library Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a manufacturing environment Ability to schedule and organize time and tasks effectively Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment Previous experience working with power/hand tools and measurement devices a plus CAD experience a plus Experience with MS Office preferred
Education Requirements:
Enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited university. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related.
