Role:
Advanced Orthopaedic Associates of Wayne, NJ is looking for a detail-oriented Medical Summary Writer/Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing all medical records, extracting pertinent information, and composing a summary of same Assist physicians and clinical staff with administrative support and daily office operations Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and handle patient correspondence Review and transcribe medical notes, operative reports, and treatment plans Communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and third-party vendors Maintain and organize electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation systems
Requirements:
Prior experience in medical writing, medical transcription, or healthcare administration preferred Familiarity with Orthopaedic or medical terminology strongly preferred Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical records management Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
