documentation environments. In this position, you will research, develop, edit, and convert technical manuals into S1000D XML-compliant publications supporting aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, sustainment, and operational readiness. Key Responsibilities Research, develop, write, and edit technical manuals and maintenance publications for the F-16 program Convert legacy SGML technical documentation into

S1000D XML

format Interpret engineering drawings, maintenance procedures, technical data, and specifications Ensure all publications comply with military, contractual, and program standards Review and validate technical content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and usability Update technical publications based on engineering changes, operational feedback, and aircraft configuration updates Utilize content management systems and publishing tools to produce electronic and printed technical manuals Support internal and external quality audits and documentation reviews Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and sustainment teams to ensure publication accuracy and delivery timelines Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience supporting aircraft systems 2+ years of experience with SGML or XML tagging 2+ years of technical writing or technical publication experience Strong understanding of aerospace or military aircraft systems Ability to interpret engineering documentation and technical specifications Experience working within structured documentation environments Preferred Qualifications Previous military aircraft maintenance experience Experience with F-16 or other military aircraft platforms Knowledge of S1000D and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) Experience using Epic Editor, Arbortext Tool Suite, IsoDraw, XML, or related publishing applications Familiarity with aerospace maintenance documentation standards and military specifications Aircraft Systems Experience Preferred Candidates with experience in the following aircraft systems are highly desired: Hydraulics Avionics Propulsion Pneumatics Fire Protection Oxygen Systems Emergency Power Ejection Seat & Crew Safety Systems Ice Protection Structural Systems Corrosion Control Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) Weapons Systems Aircraft Lighting & Environmental Systems Why Apply?
