That means interviewing engineers, analysts, and operators across time zones, then producing clear documentation that makes institutional knowledge transferable. This is a ground-floor role with direct exposure to global operations, technology infrastructure, and executive decision-making. What You'll Do Interview technical and operational staff to extract undocumented processes, then write them up Build and maintain system architecture maps, data flow diagrams, and process documentation Document integrations, APIs, and internal tools in plain language and in technical detail Create SOPs for recurring operational workflows (finance, fulfillment, distributor ops, etc.) Maintain a living knowledge base that stays current as systems change Support the incoming Tech Lead with a clean inheritance package What We're Looking For Excellent writer — precise, economical, no fluff Naturally curious; asks good questions and listens carefully Comfortable with technical concepts even without deep engineering background Able to produce both executive summaries and detailed technical specs from the same source material Self-directed; can manage a documentation backlog without hand-holding Familiarity with tools like Notion, Confluence, Lucidchart, or similar Nice to Have Exposure to software systems, APIs, or database concepts Experience with process mapping tools (draw.io, Miro, etc.) Background in business analysis or operations Compensation $60,000-$90,000 depending on experience.
