Job Description

auto mätik is a Phoenix, AZ-based automotive training and events agency. Working with some of the most recognizable brands in the world, we design, develop, and deploy outside-the-box, fun, and engaging training programs, technologies, and events for both in-person and virtual audiences. Please see the automätik website at www.automatik.com. We're currently seeking a creative, conscientious, and efficient individual to join our team as a Video Editor. This position is responsible for organizing video footage, performing technical tasks, and handling various administrative duties to streamline the post-production process.
Schedule:
Monday•Friday; Set schedule to be determined, but will be during the office hours of 8:30 am•5:30 pm.
Hours:
30 hours per week. May expand to 40 hours per week pending business needs.
Pay:
$25•$35 per hour (depending on experience)
Location:
On-site at the Tempe, AZ office
Travel:
10%•20%•will occasionally attend shows with the Media Producer Responsibilities include logging and syncing raw footage, transcoding media, creating proxies, and managing project files and databases. This role will also perform basic video editing and prepare early draft deliverables. Specific duties of the position include , but are not limited to: Digital Video Organization Sort video files received from clients and the Creative department as they relate to specific programs and clients. Back up footage to the local server and external drives. Open and encode large video files, label, and post for the Creative department reference and usage callout. Manage digital assets within project folders on Frame.io platform. Monitor and archive the local NAS server, labeling and removing old files to an external hard drive for archiving. Virtual Event Production Assistance Work with the Media Producer to research new and innovative ways to improve our company's virtual event procedures and protocols. Develop strategies for streamlining audio and visual assets into each of our projects. Research and procure the hardware necessary to implement digital storage needs. Video Editing Work with the project team to call out and create "line edit" versions of footage, assemble rough cuts, or make simple revisions. Support the Media Producer on simple video and/or audio edits as needed and by project. Edit a video from start to finish when needed. Project Support (These ancillary tasks help complete the overall project, which include but are not limited to): Conducting miscellaneous research projects. Contributing to collaborative project meetings. Supporting various production and audio/visual needs.
Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED. Active hands-on experience with both Mac and PC. Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve is required. Experience utilizing Frame.io is highly preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite•PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

The ability to rapidly assimilate new skills and software proficiency. Willingness to flex personally to meet sudden and/or tight client deadlines. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to remember previously learned material such as specifics, criteria, techniques, principles, and procedures. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to lift sandbags or a camera weighing up to 40lbs.
