Job Description
ID Dance Competition is an innovative and iconic dance competition providing life-changing experiences for young artists, and we're hiring a part-time Video Editor to join our in-house Creative Media Team — someone who can shoot, edit, and grow into leading a team on tour! During our off-season, you'll work full time, between the office operating hours of 8AM-6PM, (average 40 hours a week - minimum 8 hours per work day Monday through Friday), out of our LA Headquarters, editing for social media and marketing purposes & capturing in-studio photo and video content. Come February you will travel to select competition weekends as a Media Lead, running point on media deliverables on-site, supervising other media members, creating schedules, and capturing photo and video content to edit event recaps and photos while also working in-office on non-event days! We're looking for someone who reflects who we are as a brand and wants to be a core part of the division — not just something to add to a resume. What You'll Do Create social media content and marketing videos Valuable contributing team member to a growth-oriented and abundantly creative media team Edit photos and videos for use across marketing and social channels Maintain brand voice, style, and quality standards across all media Capture in-studio photo and video content Travel to select competition weekends (Thursday-Sunday) to lead on-site content capture. Participate in meetings on social media content strategy. Train to take on full Media Lead responsibilities ahead of the on-season transition What You Bring Someone who constantly pushes their creative skills and expands their understanding of what media can be Experience in video/photo editing (DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar) Experience in photography and videography Dance knowledge or prior dance experience A strong eye for storytelling, composition, and brand consistency Comfort working both independently and as part of a media team Based in or able to work on-site at our West Hollywood, CA headquarters Ability to travel year-round for competitions and events Must be based in LA region
