Job Description

Anyone can point a phone at a technician and call it content. Creating a video that makes a homeowner stop scrolling, trust the company in their home, and take action when they need help is a different job entirely. Ad Leverage is a performance marketing agency serving home services and legal brands, and we're looking for a Social Video Producer/Editor who can turn real people, real jobs, and real client stories into sharp, platform-native video content. You'll be on-site for content shoots, capture the footage that makes a brand feel credible and human, and turn it into video assets that support both organic social programs and paid social advertising. If you know how to turn a service call, job site, customer testimonial, product demonstration, or technician's expertise into a video someone watches past the first second, we want to talk. If you also understand that one strong shoot should become a smart library of Reels, Stories, paid ad variations, cutdowns, hooks, and evergreen content, not one finished video and a folder of unused footage, you'll fit right in. Being a Social Video Producer/Editor at Ad Leverage We're a performance agency, and that mindset applies to every frame we produce. Social Media is the trust layer that makes every other marketing dollar work harder: the profile a homeowner checks before booking, the proof that reduces hesitation, and the consistent presence that keeps a local brand top of mind. Paid social is where that credibility is pressure-tested at scale, through clear hooks, relevant messages, strong proof, and creative built to earn attention. Reporting to the Director of Social Media, you'll be the hands-on video production engine behind our organic and paid social programs. You'll collaborate with social strategists, paid media specialists, account teams, designers, and clients to translate approved concepts into shoot-ready plans and final content. You'll own the practical details that make social video work: getting the right footage on-site, identifying strong moments in the field, creating clean and compelling edits, adapting content for each placement, and keeping assets organized so the next campaign does not start from zero. This is not a "make one polished brand video and move on" position. It is a high-output, high-accountability role for someone who enjoys moving quickly, managing multiple client workstreams, and creating video that is both visually strong and useful to a real marketing program. Duties Support on-site client social shoots, capturing high-quality vertical-first video, interviews, b-roll, job-site footage, product and service demonstrations, testimonials, technician-led content, and other brand-building material Translate approved briefs, content calendars, and paid social creative concepts into practical shot lists, footage requirements, production plans, and edit approaches Produce and edit short-form, platform-native video for organic social channels, including Instagram Reels, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, Stories, and other relevant formats Produce and edit paid social video assets for Meta, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other applicable platforms, including direct-response ads, testimonial ads, service-focused ads, creator-style videos, retargeting assets, and promotional creative Build multiple usable assets from each shoot, including full edits, cutdowns, alternate hooks, alternate openings, testimonials, educational clips, seasonal content, ad variations, Stories, and placement-specific versions Edit with a social-first mindset: strong first-second hooks, clear messaging, mobile-friendly framing, readable captions, sound-off accessibility, native pacing, relevant graphics, and effective calls to action Create and apply basic motion graphics, on-screen text, captions, lower thirds, logo treatments, transitions, music, sound design, color correction, and light audio cleanup as needed to produce finished client-ready work Partner with the Head of Social, social strategists, and the paid media team to turn content strategy and paid performance learnings into stronger future shoot plans, new concepts, and structured creative test variants Organize and maintain raw footage, selects, project files, templates, exports, music and licensing documentation, stock assets, client footage, and reusable video libraries using established naming conventions and folder structures Prepare exports to correct specifications for each social platform and ad placement, including aspect ratios, safe zones, resolution, file type, duration, captioning, and quality assurance Manage multiple editing priorities and production deadlines at once, communicate capacity or timeline risks early, and maintain clean handoffs through Asana and the agency's established workflow Participate in internal reviews and client feedback rounds, make revisions efficiently, and maintain quality standards across all final deliverables Travel locally to client locations and production sites for scheduled content shoots as needed Keep clean operational discipline: production prep, shot lists, equipment readiness, asset naming, client approvals, project status updates, Asana workflow, file organization, and accurate time tracking Skills and Experience 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience shooting and editing video for brands, agencies, social media programs, digital marketing, or a related production environment (required); agency and multi-client experience strongly preferred A strong portfolio demonstrating original, social-first short-form video work for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, paid social, or comparable digital placements Demonstrated ability to independently capture high-quality video on location, including framing, composition, camera movement, lighting, clean audio, interviews, b-roll, and footage that is specifically usable in vertical and mobile-first edits Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent professional editing software; working knowledge of After Effects, motion graphics, color correction, audio cleanup, and captioning strongly preferred Strong instincts for social-native storytelling: you understand hooks, retention, pacing, platform conventions, visual proof, text overlays, captioning, and what makes a short-form video feel worth watching Experience creating paid social creative strongly preferred. You understand the difference between a brand video and a direct-response ad, and can produce iterations that test distinct hooks, messages, offers, proof points, calls to action, and formats Comfortable working from a brief while also recognizing strong unscripted moments, footage opportunities, and content angles during an on-site shoot Working knowledge of video production equipment and workflows, including cameras or mobile capture systems, lenses, lighting, microphones, stabilization, file backup, media management, and location production best practices Strong organizational habits and attention to detail. You maintain clean project files, reliable version control, accurate exports, orderly asset libraries, and clear naming conventions without needing someone to clean up after you Able to manage multiple client accounts, competing editing priorities, quick turnarounds, and feedback cycles without losing quality or missing deadlines Reliable, collaborative, and comfortable receiving direct feedback. Deadlines hit, footage backed up, project files organized, and deliverables ready when promised Experience with home services, legal, healthcare, local business marketing, or other trust-driven and regulated categories is a strong plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local client shoots preferred Join us as a Social Video Producer/Editor to bring stories to life through captivating visuals! Your creativity will help shape the future of our digital presence while honing your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment. We're committed to supporting your growth with comprehensive resources and opportunities to innovate within the ever-evolving landscape of social media content creation.
