Torrance, CA Job Details $70,000 - $80,000 a year 13 hours ago Qualifications Adobe Premiere Audio editing Adobe After Effects Media editing tools Full Job Description About Code Eleven Code Eleven builds and operates the properties where the best young athletes in America are discovered — Elite 11 (the definitive quarterback showcase for two decades), Area Code Baseball (amateur baseball's premier summer showcase since 1987), and The Opening (top football recruits at Nike's world headquarters). Code Eleven Studio is the content engine on top of those events: film, series, live programming, and the social channels that reach millions of fans, recruits, coaches, and college programs each year. The Role We're looking for a Senior Editor who can find the story in a hard drive full of event footage and cut it into something people actually stop for. You'll be one of the primary creative voices on our live sports properties, turning event coverage into content that performs across broadcast, social, and partner channels. Beyond event work, you'll cut the reels that sell the studio itself and help build the systems that keep our library organized and usable. This is a senior seat. You'll own projects end-to-end, set the quality bar for other editors, and have real input on how our content looks and sounds. What You'll Do Video and post-production Cut long-form features, highlight reels, athlete profiles, sizzles, and social-native edits from live event and/or archival footage Own the post workflow on assigned properties: ingest, organization, selects, rough cut, finish, delivery Manage processes for color, audio mix, graphics integration, and versioning across aspect ratios and platform specs Maintain media management and archive standards so footage stays findable after the event ends Produce business development assets — concept reels, company reels, and sizzles that pitch our capabilities to prospective partners and sponsors Support the Head of Studio, or designated lead, on the build-out of our content management system (cms): taxonomy, tagging, metadata standards, and migration of existing library assets. Integrate, enable and utilize AI within editing processes and cms product development with a "human-in-the-loop" mindset and goal of increasing output and resource efficiency. Support studio social media personnel including delivery of post-ready assets, graphics templates, and other collateral required to increase the volume of content output across Code 11's owned and operated social channels in varying formats e.g. long-form and short-form. Leadership and process Set and hold the creative quality bar across assigned projects Give clear, useful feedback to junior editors and freelancers; review cuts before they ship Partner with producers, marketing, and client-facing leads to translate briefs into finished work Help build and improve templates, style guides, and post workflows Manage multiple deliverables and deadlines across concurrent properties without dropping quality Who You Are Required 8+ years editing professionally, ideally in sports, entertainment, or agency environments A reel that shows strong storytelling — not just technical competence Expert command of Adobe Premiere Pro and the Creative Cloud suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Audition) Fluency in platform-specific specs and what actually performs on each Experience working under live-event deadlines with imperfect footage and shifting priorities Comfort giving and receiving direct creative feedback Availability to work occasional nights, weekends, and travel during event season Preferred Working knowledge of the youth, high school, or amateur sports landscape Motion graphics and design chops (After Effects, Illustrator, Figma, Canva) Experience with DaVinci Resolve for color, or Pro Tools for audio Familiarity with live production environments and broadcast handoff Shooting experience — camera, audio, or interview setup Experience mentoring or managing editors Exposure to DAM or content management systems (Iconik, Frame.io, Axle.ai, or similar) How to Apply Apply through TeamWork Online, LinkedIn or to — applications through any other channel won't be reviewed.
Your application must include:
