Job Description
Substrata Media is looking for an experienced Senior Video Editor to join our production team and serve as a lead editor on original shows and video content. We are looking for someone with significant professional editing experience. You should have a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, emotion, character, and narrative structure and be comfortable taking ownership of an edit from raw footage through the finished piece. What We're Looking For Significant professional video editing experience A strong portfolio of high-quality work Experience with unscripted, reality, documentary, broadcast, or similar story-driven content Strong storytelling and narrative instincts Ability to identify compelling moments and build a story from raw footage Ability to take the lead editorial role on a show or project Strong understanding of pacing, emotion, music, and sound Ability to work independently while collaborating with our production team Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Horse or sports experience is a plus, but not required. Location This position is fully in person at our facility in Felton, Delaware. Applicants should already live within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate.
