Job Description

About the Role We are looking for a talented Short-Form Video Editor to join our growing media and production team in Felton, Delaware. We are currently developing a unique digital media platform and are looking for an editor who understands how to turn real-world footage into short, compelling pieces of content that immediately capture attention and keep viewers engaged. This is not a traditional social media management position. You will not be responsible for managing social media accounts or posting content. However, experience creating and editing short-form content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts is a major plus because we are looking for someone who understands the editing style, pacing, hooks, and storytelling techniques that have made short-form content so successful. Strong video editing experience is required. What You'll Do Edit high-quality short-form videos from a large and constantly growing library of original footage. Identify interesting moments, interactions, personalities, and storylines within raw footage and turn them into compelling short-form content. Create strong openings and hooks that immediately capture attention. Edit with a strong understanding of pacing, retention, storytelling, and emotional impact. Use music, sound design, graphics, transitions, effects, zooms, and other editing techniques to enhance content where appropriate. Transform longer footage and everyday moments into concise, entertaining stories. Work with a wide variety of footage captured throughout our facility every day. Collaborate with our video and creative teams on concepts, ideas, and new approaches to content. Work within established production standards while still bringing your own creativity and editing instincts to the role. Manage multiple videos and deadlines in a fast-moving production environment. Experiment with different editing styles and approaches as we continue developing and refining the platform. Utilize new editing tools and AI-assisted production technology when appropriate.
What We're Looking For Required:
Strong professional video editing experience. A portfolio or examples demonstrating your editing ability. Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, visual composition, music, and sound. Proficiency with professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar. Ability to review large amounts of footage and recognize which moments have the potential to become great content. Strong creative instincts and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment. Ability to take direction, incorporate feedback, and collaborate with a larger creative team.
Strongly Preferred:
Experience editing short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms. Understanding of hooks, audience retention, pacing, and the editing techniques commonly used in successful short-form content. Experience working in social media content production, even though this position itself is not a social media management role. Experience in entertainment, sports, reality-style, documentary, lifestyle, or personality-driven content. Experience working with high volumes of original footage. Familiarity with AI-assisted editing and production tools. Experience with horses or the equine industry is a plus, but not required. We are much more interested in finding someone with strong editing skills, creative instincts, and the ability to recognize and tell a great story. To Apply Please submit your resume along with examples of your video editing work or a portfolio. If you have experience creating short-form content, please include examples that best demonstrate your ability to capture attention, tell a story quickly, and keep viewers engaged.
