About BulkLoads BulkLoads is a marketplace and community for bulk freight trucking professionals. With a growing presence on YouTube and across social platforms, we're on a mission to create standout video content that informs, inspires, and connects the trucking industry. Our content is built around community, trust, and telling the stories of hard working Americans. Role Overview We're looking for a Video Editor to join our content team and help shape the future of our media presence. You'll work closely with producers and creators to edit both long-form YouTube videos (see channel) and short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. This position is full-time and in our office in Springfield, Mo. Responsibilities Edit long-form YouTube videos (10-30 mins) that are clear, engaging, and on-brand Create short-form content (15-60 secs) optimized for vertical viewing across TikTok, Reels, and Shorts Add motion graphics, subtitles, transitions, and branding to enhance watchability Cut down podcast or interview footage into clips to be used on social media Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm, storyboard, and shape ideas Optimize audio levels, color correction/color grading, and pacing for maximum impact Maintain an organized post-production workflow across multiple projects Stay on top of trends in short-form editing and platform-specific formats Meet deadlines on both short form and long form content Requirements 2+ years of experience in video editing (freelance or in-house) Experience in high-volume production environments Handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines simultaneously Collaborate with the creative video team to understand and communicate project objectives Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro Experience editing both long-form and short-form video content Portfolio that shows a range of editing styles and formats Solid understanding of YouTube pacing, thumbnails, and retention tactics Knowledge of vertical video specs and algorithms for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities
