We are looking for a creative and dependable part-time video content creator who can help turn our team's knowledge and real-world experience into clear, useful, and engaging content. We are not looking for highly produced commercials. We want authentic, educational videos with clean audio, good framing, strong hooks, and simple, professional editing. Monthly Deliverables Coordinate and complete one full filming day each month Film at our Houston office and active job sites throughout the area Produce and publish four YouTube videos per month YouTube videos will generally be 4-7 minutes long Produce 8-12 Shorts, Reels, or other short-form videos per month Repurpose long-form footage into short-form content when appropriate Add captions, simple graphics, titles, and basic branding Create basic thumbnails and upload or schedule approved content Organize footage and maintain a simple monthly content calendar Content Topics Our content will primarily follow Marcus Sheridan's Big 5 framework: Cost and pricing Common problems, risks, and mistakes Product and service comparisons Honest product, contractor, and system reviews Best products, solutions, and options Additional topics may include: Roof inspections and job-site walkthroughs Roofing material comparisons Ventilation and energy-efficiency education Common installation mistakes Repairs and preventative maintenance Warranties and our After Care program What homeowners should expect during a roof replacement Frequently asked customer questions We will provide the roofing expertise and collaborate on topics. The content creator should be able to help structure each topic into an engaging video with a clear beginning, middle, and conclusion. Responsibilities Help develop simple video outlines, hooks, and interview questions Make team members feel comfortable and natural on camera Capture talking-head footage, interviews, project footage, and supporting B-roll Maintain excellent audio quality in office and field environments Edit videos efficiently without overproducing them Format videos correctly for YouTube and social platforms Meet an agreed-upon monthly publishing schedule Review basic performance data and recommend ways to improve future content Ideal Candidate Experience filming and editing both long-form and short-form video A portfolio demonstrating clean, engaging work Strong understanding of audio, lighting, framing, and storytelling Comfortable directing and coaching people who are not professional actors Familiarity with YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other video platforms Proficiency with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software Dependable, organized, and able to work independently Reliable transportation for Houston-area job sites Comfortable working around active construction sites and following all safety requirements Roofing experience is not required. Experience creating content for home-service, construction, real estate, or educational brands is a plus. Compensation This is a paid, part-time opportunity. Compensation may be structured as an hourly rate or monthly retainer based on experience, equipment, portfolio, and agreed-upon responsibilities.
