In-person full school year, with potential for extension About Elevate Media Group Elevate Media Group is a marketing and production agency based in Onalaska, Wisconsin. We work with businesses and organizations across the La Crosse area and beyond to create websites, videos, photos, social media content, digital ads, and other marketing materials. Our team works on a wide variety of projects, which means no two days look exactly the same. One day might involve helping on a video shoot, and another might involve editing social content, organizing project files, or creating visuals for a client campaign. We are a small, hands-on team, so interns have the opportunity to be involved in real work, learn how an agency operates, and build practical creative experience along the way. The Role We are looking for 1-2 Photo/Video Interns who are excited to gain hands-on experience in creative production, content creation, and agency work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being behind the camera, editing content, helping bring ideas to life, and learning how photo and video support real marketing goals. You will be involved in a little bit of everything, from assisting on shoots and organizing footage to helping edit commercials, promotional videos, social content, and other client-facing creative projects. You will not just be observing. You will be part of the creative process and will gain real experience working on projects for local and regional businesses. Key ResponsibilitiesPhoto & Video Production Support Assist with photo and video shoots for clients and Elevate Media Group. Help prepare gear, lighting, audio, props, shot lists, and production materials. Capture behind-the-scenes content, social clips, and supporting visuals when needed. Assist with organizing and backing up footage, photos, and project files. Commercial & Promotional Video Editing Assist with editing commercials, promotional videos, client stories, interviews, and campaign videos. Help create shorter clips from longer video projects for social media, websites, ads, and client use. Assist with basic captions, music selection, formatting, and resizing for different platforms. Support the production team with rough cuts, revisions, exports, and file organization. Photography & Visual Content Assist with editing and organizing photos for social media, websites, ads, and marketing materials. Support basic photo touch-ups, resizing, cropping, and export formatting. Help capture content that feels authentic, polished, and aligned with each client's brand. Creative Production & Agency Support Support the creative team with video, photo, social, and campaign-related projects. Help gather, organize, and prepare client assets. Assist with content planning and creative ideas for client and EMG social media. Help with general production tasks that keep projects moving smoothly. Quality Control & File Organization Review content for spelling, formatting, branding, audio quality, and visual consistency. Keep files organized and easy for the team to find. Assist with exporting content in the correct formats for social media, websites, ads, broadcast, and client delivery. Qualifications & Skills We are looking for someone creative, reliable, and eager to learn. You do not need to know everything already, but you should be excited to grow.
The Basics:
A college student studying Digital Media, Photography, Video Production, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred, but we care more about your creativity, work ethic, and willingness to learn than your specific major.
Photo/Video Interest:
You have an interest in cameras, editing, storytelling, lighting, composition, or social media content creation.
Editing Familiarity:
You have some experience with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, Canva, CapCut, or similar editing platforms.
Platform Awareness:
You understand that video and photo content needs to be formatted differently for websites, social media, digital ads, presentations, and broadcast/commercial use. A "Figure-It-Out"
Mindset:
You are a proactive self-starter. If you do not know a tool or technique, you are willing to watch a tutorial, ask questions, and learn.
Detail-Oriented:
You are organized, dependable, and able to catch small details in edits, exports, filenames, and client-facing work.
Team Player:
