Job Description

BravGo Media is hiring a reliable Videographer / Camera Operator (must bring your own gear) for live stadium coverage of the AzMBA Marching Band Championships at Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, AZ. Coverage consists of continuous wide/medium tracking shots of marching band performances from an elevated press box position. Smooth continuous panning, sharp manual focus control, and consistent framing throughout full performances are critical.

Full-day commitment on Saturday, 11/14 (approx. 11:30 AM call time through ~10:00 PM awards wrap). Final schedule block will be confirmed prior to event date.

Schedule Pace:

Includes built-in intermission breaks between performances (meal and drinks provided on site).

No editing or upload required.

GEAR REQUIREMENTS
(Must Bring Your Own):

CAMERA & ZOOM CONTROLLER

Dedicated professional ENG-style camcorder (e.g., Canon XF, Sony PXW/NX, Panasonic AG/UX series) equipped with a pan-handle mounted zoom controller (e.g., VariZoom, Libec, LANC remote) attached directly to the tripod handle. In-body zoom rockers alone are NOT sufficient—hands must remain on the tripod pan handle at all times. Camera MUST support dual-card relay recording.

STRICTLY NO

DSLRs, mirrorless bodies, or un-rigged setups.

TRIPOD:

True fluid-head video tripod capable of continuous, ultra-smooth 180-degree tracking pans without micro-stutters or friction recoil.

AUDIO PACKAGE

Field/shotgun microphone kit with proper stand/mounting hardware, and all necessary XLR cabling to feed ambient stadium/field sound directly into the camera's onboard XLR inputs.

PAYMENT & MEDIA HANDOFF

Rate:

$600 flat rate ($500 labor + $100 gear allowance).

Sunday Media Drop-off:

Hand off media on Sunday morning; an additional $25 gas stipend is provided for the meetup.

Payment Terms:

Processed via direct deposit within 1-3 business days post-event following media handoff and footage verification.
