Rogue Media Sports is looking for talented freelance videographers to cover youth and high-school lacrosse tournaments and sporting events. This is live sports coverage , not a traditional cinematic shoot. Our videographers are assigned specific athletes and are responsible for capturing their best moments throughout the day for recruiting videos, highlight reels and social media content.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Film assigned athletes during live lacrosse games and tournaments Follow athletes and anticipate plays to ensure key moments aren't missed Capture goals, assists, dodges, defensive plays, saves, ground balls, faceoffs, transition plays, celebrations and other meaningful moments Shoot supplemental content including warmups, sidelines, team interaction and event B-roll Primarily shoot horizontal 16:9 , with select vertical 9:16 content for social media Keep footage steady, properly framed and focused while following fast-moving action Leave adequate footage before and after each play for editing Organize footage by event, team, athlete and game Upload raw footage promptly following the event

EQUIPMENT

Videographers should have their own professional equipment, including:

Camera:

Professional mirrorless, DSLR or cinema camera capable of 4K/60fps minimum . 120fps capability is a plus.

Lens:

Quality telephoto lens — 70-200mm or longer strongly preferred . Additional 24-70mm or similar lens is helpful for sideline and B-roll content.

Support:

Monopod strongly preferred. Gimbal and/or handheld capability for B-roll is a plus.

Audio:

Ability to capture basic game audio. Wireless microphone capability for occasional interviews is a plus.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Sports videography experience is strongly preferred. Lacrosse experience is a major plus. You should be comfortable working outdoors for full tournament days, moving between fields, tracking fast-moving athletes and working independently while following direction from a Rogue Media event lead.

Most importantly:

you need to get the shot. You may be responsible for specific athletes, and we need confidence that their biggest moments won't be missed.

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

This is freelance/event-based work with opportunities at tournaments throughout the year. Assignments may involve 8-10 hour event days and occasional travel. Compensation will be established per event/day based on experience, equipment and assignment. Travel, lodging and other expenses will be communicated in advance when applicable.
