Overview Backwoods Farmstead is looking for a creative, motivated videographer to help us capture the daily beauty, grit, and growth of our private farmstead. We have an active and growing community of 38k+ followers on Instagram, and we need raw, high-quality visual assets to keep our audience engaged as we build toward our 2027 public launch. (Our website is currently private but will be going public soon!). Responsibilities Travel to the farmstead in Roan Mountain to shoot high-quality video of the property and animals Perform basic video editing, color correction, and formatting for social media platforms and deliver organized digital files. Capture a variety of vertical and horizontal footage that can be used across Instagram reels, stories, the website, and other marketing channels Qualifications Ability to demonstrate experience in videography and/or short-form video content creation; professional experience is preferred, but strong portfolios from emerging videographers will be considered Experience shooting and editing vertical video Must have your own reliable transportation to Roan Mountain Must have your own camera equipment and video editing software (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Lightroom, etc.) Must be comfortable working outdoors around livestock (cattle, sheep, poultry) and in changing weather conditions Because these assets will be used heavily across our branding and social media channels, Backwoods Farmstead will retain full ownership and usage rights of all raw and edited media delivered. You are welcome to use the pieces in your personal portfolio to showcase your work. Summer Months (Peak Season): On-site once a week. Winter Months (Off-Peak Season): On-site every 2 weeks. Videography is all about the light! You must be willing and able to shoot during "Golden Hour", meaning some shifts will require early morning arrivals or late afternoon/evening stays to capture the property at its best.
